Arsenal vs Bayern Munich Preview & Tips

Arsenal were able to ease past Slavia Prague in their last European match as they secured a 3-0 win to ensure they stayed perfect in the Champions League.

Bayern Munich battled to a very impressive 2-1 win over PSG in their last European game as they took all three points in their heavyweight clash.

Head To Head

Bayern have won five of their last 10 against Arsenal, with the Gunners winning three times and two matches ending as draws.

Arsenal Form

Arsenal have been superb in Europe to this point, with four wins coming along with four clean sheets and a winning margin of at least two goals in all four of their outings.

While there are better opponents to come, the Gunners will be very proud of their wins so far, with a 2-0 away win over Athletic Bilbao and a 4-0 hammering of Atletico Madrid particularly impressive. However, they now face arguably the toughest test in Europe right now.

Bayern Munich arrive with four wins in four but, more importantly, they have not lost a competitive match to Arsenal since 2015. In that time, Bayern have won four Champions League matches, drawing the other. More impressive still is that three of their four wins have been in 5-1 hammerings for the London side.

While I expect Arsenal to get on the scoreboard as they give their opponents a true test, I do not back them to win this match as we see their perfect run in Europe brough to an end.

Bayern Munich Form

Bayern Munich have been exceptional across their Champions League campaign so far, beating a mix of stronger and weaker sides so far.

Wins of note have come against Chelsea (3-1) and PSG (2-1), with victories over the club world champions and European champions respectively hugely impressive. Their win over PSG was the biggest result of their season so far, with Luis Diaz firing home a brace to give them the win.

This week, they will come up against another opponent that will give them a huge test across the park, but it is one I back them to pass. Harry Kane continues to score goals, having netted five in Europe this season. I back him to continue his impressive scoring run with another effort in midweek.
