Their final game before the international break ended in a 3-0 win over Alaves as Barca ensured their 4-2 loss to Osasuna was not followed by a second defeat. Robert Lewandowski was once again the focal-point in attack as he scored a sublime first-half hat-trick to win all three points for his side.

Victory over a Sevilla side in decent form would only increase the confidence in this youthful Barcelona side, and they will fancy their chances of notching their sixth consecutive win against their opponents.

Sevilla saw their first four matches come and go without securing a win as they picked up two points from two draws, while their other pair of games ended in defeat.

Since their loss to Girona, Sevilla have won three times, drawn once and lost once, helping them onto 12 points from nine games. This run has helped to relieve some of the pressure on a side that many worried would be embroiled in a real relegation battle this term.

While Sevilla arrive in fairly good form, they are yet to win on the road, drawing three matches and losing once. With their poor run against Barcelona in mind, I am backing them to slip to their first defeat in the league since they were beaten by Alaves.
