Bayern Munich have been nearly perfect across the Bundesliga season, storming to 41 points from 15 matches and only dropping points in two games. 

Wolfsburg teeter above the relegation zone after securing just four wins from their opening 15 games of the new season.

The Bundesliga title once again beckons for Bayern Munich, with the reigning champions opening up a nine-point lead over Borussia Dortmund, who travel to face Eintracht Frankfurt this week. 

While there is still a huge amount of the season to come, across the entirety of last season and the opening 15 games of the new campaign, Bayern have only lost twice and drawn a total of nine games in 49 outings. In this time, they have won 38 times. If they continue their current trend of winning matches, not a single side will get anywhere near them. 

With Wolfsburg the visitors this weekend, I do not predict anything other than an eighth win in nine home matches. Their last two wins have come alongside clean sheets, and I predict that they will notch another simple win against an opponent that has struggled this season. 

Wolfsburg Form 


There are far more ideal ways to start a new year in the Bundesliga than a trip to face the reigning champions and only team in the competition yet to lose. However, Wolfsburg will have to deal with the headache of trying to win only their fifth match in 16 attempts against the best team in Germany. 

On the road, Wolfsburg have been competitive, winning three of their seven matches. Meanwhile, they have notched a single win in eight home matches, with their form on their own patch massively worrying. 

While Wolfsburg will be desperate to start the new year with a win, this will likely be a game that passes them by. Bayern are far too good for them, and I predict they will slip to a seventh consecutive defeat at the hands of their opponents.

I am backing Bayern to notch an impressive win to nil over Wolfsburg as they continue to edge towards yet another Bundesliga title.
