Borussia Dortmund can move to within five points of Bayern Munich at the summit if they can secure a 16th win this season.

Bayern Munich can tighten their grip on the Bundesliga title with a win this weekend, with victory seeing the reigning champions move 11 points clear at the summit.

Bayern have won six of their last 10 against Dortmund, with the latter winning once and three matches ending as draws.

Borussia Dortmund Form

Borussia Dortmund may sit eight points behind Bayern Munich at the summit of the Bundesliga, but nothing should be taken away from an excellent season that has seen them lose one of their opening 23 matches, which is as many as the leaders.

Where Dortmund have fallen down is in the number of times they have drawn a game. Seven draws including a 2-2 stalemate against RB Leipzig last week means that this is a must-win game for Dortmund. A win brings them to within five points of the leaders, but defeat will see them slide 11 points behind with 10 games to play.

Two of the last three meetings between the sides have ended in draws, and I predict that this one will also end in the points being shared. Dortmund have been excellent at home all season, and I predict that they will keep the title race alive, although this will not end in the gap decreasing.

Bayern Munich Form

Bayern Munich have been superb this season, with the reigning champions of the Bundesliga sat at the summit of the table with 60 points, meaning they are eight clear of Dortmund in second.

On the road, Bayern have avoided tasting defeat across their 11 matches. Nine wins have come alongside two draws, with Bayern looking to edge further clear at the summit in the hopes they can switch their attentions to winning the Champions League this year.

While Bayern are the best side in Germany, I predict that they will have to settle for a draw in this one. Dortmund have proved unbeatable at home in the league, and I back Bayern to have to remain content with maintaining their eight-point lead at the summit.
