Celta Vigo ended a run of three without a win in the league as they defeated bottom of the table Las Palmas 1-0 on the road.

While the victory itself was far from convincing, ending their winless run was all that mattered. They are now unbeaten in their last two after holding Girona to a 1-1 draw in their last home game. Returning to home comforts could prove to be a big factor in this game with Celta winning three of their five on their own patch.

While they have not been great against Real in recent meetings, Real have dropped points on the road against the likes of Mallorca and Las Palmas in a worrying run of away games.

Real Madrid Form

Real Madrid are yet to taste defeat this season, but they have not been perfect, and they have looked uncharacteristically poor on the road at times.

Three 1-1 draws with Mallorca, Las Palmas and Atletico Madrid has helped the reigning champions pick up six from points from a possible 12 on the road. By contrast, they have won all five of their home games, with this run keeping them within touching distance of Barcelona at the top.

While Real have been far too good for their opponents in recent meetings, they have made a habit out of dropping points on the road this term, and I back more of the same on their return to league duty.
