Chelsea eased to a 2-1 win over Copenhagen in the first-leg of their European clash as they ensured they would take to the pitch with an advantage in the return leg.

- Copenhagen Form
Copenhagen have it all to do to stay alive in the Europa Conference League, with the travelling side in need of a monumental win.
- Chelsea have never lost to their opponents (W2, D1)
- The Blues have won their last seven in Europe
- Copenhagen have lost three of their last four
- The pair have seen both teams score in their last three European matches
Head To Head
The two sides have met three times before, with Chelsea winning twice and one gaming ending as a draw.
Chelsea Form
Despite having to shoulder some underwhelming form in the Premier League of late, Chelsea continue to impress in the Europa Conference League, winning their last seven matches.
Of course, the Blues are far too good for the Conference League, as shown by them blowing away every side put in front of them. However, European football can do strange things to a team, but this has not seen Chelsea struggle, quite the opposite in fact.
I back the Blues to give their home fans cause for optimism in general, with their fourth consecutive win in all competitions. I do not back them to keep a clean sheet though, with the Blues failing to keep the opposition out in their last three European matches.
Copenhagen Form
While Copenhagen can take heart from only being a single goal behind their hosts heading into the second-leg, they needed more from the first-leg if they were to truly give themselves a chance of victory over the two matches.
Copenhagen arrive for this match on the back of three defeats in four in Europe, while they are winless in their last three in all competitions, losing once and drawing twice. The hope for the travelling side is that they can give Chelsea problems, as shown by their goal in the first-leg.
Having scored in their last three in Europe, I back the visitors to hit the back of the net, but I cannot see them securing the victory they need. With Chelsea now just a few matches away from securing silverware in a tough season, I expect them to pull away from Copenhagen on the pitch.
Verdict
I am backing the Blues to make it eight consecutive wins in Europe this season despite failing to keep a clean sheet for the fourth successive European match.
