Chelsea vs Everton Preview & Tips

Chelsea were held by Bournemouth in their last league game as they failed to win a Premier League match for the third successive time.

Everton roared to an impressive 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest in their last match as they stretched their unbeaten run to two games.

Head To Head

Chelsea have won four of their last 10 against Everton, with the Toffees winning three times and three games ending as draws.

Chelsea Form

Chelsea have hit a worrying run of form of late, with the Blues going from winning nine of their 11 outings to failing to win any of their last four in all competitions.

A 1-1 draw with Arsenal was a good result considering the form of the league leaders, but a 0-0 draw with Bournemouth was sandwiched by defeats to Leeds in the Premier League and Atalanta in the Champions League.

With two draws coming from their last three in the league, the Blues have struggled to consistently beat their opposition. With Everton arriving in good form on the road, I predict that Chelsea will struggle. The Blues have scored one goal or less in each of their last three in all competitions, and I believe the defensively solid Everton will hold their opponents.

Everton Form

Everton have been enjoying a superb season, winning seven of their opening 15 matches and moving up to seventh in the league. While they are only two points short of Crystal Palace in fourth, perhaps more importantly, they are 11 clear of West Ham in 18th and the relegation zone.

Impressively, three of their seven wins have come on the road, while they are unbeaten in their last three away games, winning twice and drawing once.

With seven goals scored and eight conceded away from home, the Toffees have not been able to blow the competition away with goals scored on the road. With this in mind, I predict a tight match as the Toffees take a point from their opponents.

I predict that the pair will share the points as Everton add to Chelsea's issues across December.
