Crystal Palace vs Zrinjski Preview & Tips

Crystal Palace were stunned by Zrinjski in the first-leg of their Europa Conference League playoff clash as they were held in a 1-1 draw.

Zrinjski are still very much in their tie with Crystal Palace after a defiant draw with their Premier League opponents in the first-leg.

Fortunately for Palace, their last outing ended in a 1-0 win over Wolves at the weekend in the league, with this their second victory in their last four in all competitions.

Palace’s last two wins in all competitions have been to nil, while Zrinjski have lost all three of their away games without scoring. While Palace have been battling a real slump across tournaments, I am backing their 1-0 win over Wolves at the weekend to see them surge to another win and a clean sheet.

Zrinjski have made the most out of their miserly defence in their last two European matches, drawing with SK Rapid in their last group game before holding Crystal Palace in the first-leg of their playoff.

Now, they face a real test of their defensive fortitude. Palace will not have taken kindly to their stunning draw, and they will be desperate to avoid an even more embarrassing failure to win on their own patch.

While I predict that Zrinjski will make things awkward for Palace as they look to shut up shop from the first whistle, I do not back them to breach their hosts, let alone beat them.
