Aston Villa were in dreamland in midweek as they stunned Bayern Munich in a brilliant 1-0 win at Villa Park.

Their win stretched their unbeaten run to seven matches, with six wins coming in this time. Victories over Everton, Wolves and Bayern at Villa Park shows they have been building an impressive streak on their own patch, and they will really fancy themselves against their misfiring opponents.

While Villa have not been great against their opponents, they arrive as one of the league's in-form sides, and I am backing them to consign the travelling side to a fourth league defeat of the season.

Manchester United Form

What can be said about Manchester United this season? Seven points from a possible 18 means they sit in 13th, eight short of Manchester City at the summit. While the competition is still early, United look likely to be up against it in their battle to take a European spot for next season.

They led Porto 2-0 in the Europa League in the week and looked to be cruising to all three points. However, they collapsed as their creaky defence fell apart under the pressure. While they did avoid defeat as they secured a 3-3 draw, they were anything but convincing.

Now, United are staring at the possibility of making it five without a win in all competitions, with a defeat in this one further testament to just how far off the top-six they truly are.
