Chelsea slipped to defeat in their opening match of the new Premier League season as they were beaten by Manchester City. In truth, the 2-0 defeat was hardly the worst result for the side as they look to move forward under Enzo Maresca.

Despite this defeat, Chelsea did show flashes of what they can do as they beat the City press with some slick passing. The worry for the side is that they looked far too complacent in front of goal as they continually failed to make their half-chances count.

Their clash with Servette provides a huge opportunity to get a first competitive win. However, defeat to a much smaller side would pile the pressure on Marseca and his team. With a tricky trip to face Servette to come in the second-leg, Chelsea cannot afford to slip to defeat in this match.

Servette Form

Servette were in inspired form in front of goal in their last game as they hammered Bernex 7-1 to end a run of four without a win.

While they did impress at the weekend, they have been known to fall apart at the back. Indeed, they were hammered 6-0 by Basel earlier in the month in a woeful defensive performance from the side.

While Servette will hope to take advantage of Chelsea's defeat at the weekend, they are still really up against it if they are to get anything from an opponent that is far better than them.
