The pair have met six times in total, with City winning four matches and Brentford winning the other two.

Manchester City have started the new season as they mean to go on, romping to three wins in their opening three games.

Their 2-0 win over Chelsea in game one should have been more comfortable, while they hammered Ipswich 4-1 before easing past West Ham in a 3-1 triumph. Haaland scored once against the Blues before notching back-to-back hat-tricks against Ipswich and the Hammers in a stunning run of scoring.

City are the big favourites to win this one and with Haaland in great form for his club side, it is tough to see Brentford stopping him from scoring again.

Brentford have looked good at the start of the new season, winning two of their opening three matches and moving up to sixth in the standings.

It is worth noting that Brentford's two wins have come against struggling Crystal Palace and Southampton at home. The two sides have secured one point between them across their start to the campaign with neither in any kind of form.

Brentford's only away game of the season saw them beaten 2-0 by Liverpool at Anfield, and I believe they will slip to a second successive away defeat this week.
