Newcastle were held by Bournemouth in their last league game as their inconsistent start to the season was extended.

Arsenal came back from a goal down to secure a 1-1 draw with Manchester City in their last league game.

Arsenal have secured the win in four of their last 10 against Newcastle, with the latter winning five times and one game ending as a stalemate.

Newcastle have struggled to secure victories this season, with the side currently sitting in 13th with one win from their opening five games.

Scoring goals has been a real problem for Newcastle, with the club finding the back of the net just three times across their opening five. Two of their three league goals actually came in their 3-2 home loss to Liverpool. While Newcastle have kept four clean sheets in five games, their attack continues to let them down.

The Gunners arrive having scored 10 league goals, while they have only been breached twice. The Gunners bring an incisive attack and a solid defence. Newcastle will have to find a way to breach Arsenal's defence if they are to get anything from this one, but I do not back them to end their woeful start to the season in front of goal.

Despite struggling to breach Manchester City in their last league game, Arsenal arrive as one of the best attacking teams in the country. 10 goals scored is the second-most goals behind Liverpool's 11 goals.

Conceding two goals is also very impressive, with Arsenal arriving with the best defence in the league alongside Crystal Palace. With goals coming easily and clean sheets secured in three of their five outings, the Gunners have been very good.

With Liverpool battling a stubborn Crystal Palace this week, Arsenal have a big chance to cut the gap at the top, and I back them to do so as they beat Newcastle once again.
