Tottenham return from the international break looking to bounce back from a 2-1 loss to Newcastle at St James' Park.

Arsenal dropped points for the first time this season as they were held in a 1-1 draw with Brighton at the Emirates Stadium two weeks ago.

Arsenal have won five of their last 10 against Spurs, with the latter winning four times and one game ending as a draw.

Tottenham have had a mixed bag at the start of the 2024/25 Premier League season, with the side securing one of each result after three outings.

Despite enjoying the better of the match against Leicester in their opener, they were held in a 1-1 draw. They then dismantled Everton in an impressive 4-0 win before they succumbed to defeat at the hands of Newcastle. While the season is still very young, Spurs will not want to see the top-four spots continue to stretch away from them.

A win over the Gunners would really signal their intent, but their loss to Newcastle in their last game coupled with three defeats in their last four against their opponents means I am backing against the home side in this one.

Arsenal Form

Arsenal were left frustrated by a stubborn Brighton side that took a point from them in the buildup to the international break.

Prior to this, Arsenal had been perfect, winning both of their two games, scoring four times and keeping two clean sheets. Their 2-0 win over Wolves was a strong performance, but their 2-0 win over Aston Villa at Villa Park saw the Gunners beat a very good opponent as they made it six points from a possible six.

While playing on the road against a major rival is never easy, I am backing Arsenal to take all three points in this one. They do have some issues with injured players, but I am backing the away side to secure a statement win despite failing to keep a clean sheet.

Verdict

With two wins on their last two trips to face Tottenham, I am backing the Gunners to secure the points.

Spurs have the tools to hurt Arsenal, and I do back them to get one the scoreboard. However, I predict Arsenal will stretch their unbeaten run.
