Head To Head
City have won seven of their last 10 against West Ham with the other three ending as draws after 90 minutes.
West Ham Form
West Ham have struggled for consistency in the opening part of the new season, with a disappointing 2-1 loss to Aston Villa followed by a much-improved performance as they brushed past Crystal Palace.
The worrying thing for the Hammers will be that their last performance at the London Stadium in the league saw them match Aston Villa in most areas of the pitch, but they were unable to score the all-important second goal as Villa netted with 10 minutes to go to win the game.
Against an opponent they have lost their last four against, the Hammers will likely have to come to terms with losing their opening two home games of the new Premier League season.
Manchester City Form
Manchester City have looked very strong this term, with the side scoring six goals and conceding once across their opening two.
While Ipswich did take the lead in their match at the Etihad Stadium, City romped back into the contest as Erling Haaland grabbed a hat-trick while Kevin De Bruyne scored too, with City going from 1-0 down in the 11th minute to 3-1 up in the 16th minute. While Ipswich are hardly the best side City will face this year, it was hugely impressive to see their three-goal salvo in four first-half minutes.
West Ham will look to stay compact defensively as they try to hit their opponents on the break, but this is not a match I am backing them to take any points from. In fact, I am backing City to be lead by Haaland, who will be keen to add to his four goals for the season.
Verdict
I am backing City to secure all three points in this one as Erling Haaland adds to his personal tally for the season.
