West Ham vs Manchester United Tips

West Ham were beaten by Tottenham in their last match as their poor start to the season was extended.

Manchester United battled to a 2-1 win over Brentford as they ended a three-game winless run in the league.

Head To Head

Manchester United have won six of their last 10 against West Ham, with the Hammers winning three times and one match ending as a draw after 90 minutes.

West Ham Form

West Ham have been very disappointing at the start of the new season, with eight games resulting in just eight points.

Two wins have come alongside two draws and four defeats, with the Hammers just five points clear of Crystal Palace in 18th. While the Hammers have managed to beat both Crystal Palace and Ipswich this season in important victories, they have failed on all of their other six attempts to secure a win.

Much like Manchester United, West Ham are enduring a tough start to the campaign, and taking a point from their opponents after their stunning 4-1 loss to Tottenham would not be a bad result.

Manchester United Form

Manchester United have continued to struggle this season, with the side sitting in 12th in the league, 10 points short of Liverpool at the summit.

While the 10 point gap between United and Liverpool is already a big one, it is nowhere near as cavernous as the difference between United and the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City on the pitch.

A draw with Aston Villa on the road earlier in the month was not a bad result, but they were humiliated by Tottenham in a 3-0 loss at Old Trafford after their insipid 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace in the game before. With four draws in their last four away games, I am backing Manchester United to drop points yet again.

Verdict

I am backing both sides to concede as the points are shared by two outfits that are in desperate need of a win.
