Wolves arrive on the back of a four-game losing run that has seen them prop up the Premier League table after seven matches.

Manchester City have won their last two in all competitions following a battling 3-2 win over Fulham at the Etihad Stadium.

City have won seven of their last 10 against Wolves, with the Wanderers winning the other three.

Wolves have been very poor this season, with the side already up against it if they are to avoid relegation to the Championship.

A single point from their opening seven came from a battling draw with Nottingham Forest back in August, with a lean period of four consecutive defeats across September and October meaning the Wanderers have done little to help their situation.

Having conceded 21 goals in seven matches including five at the hands of a Brentford side that had scored eight across their previous six games, Wanderers look weak at the back, and I believe City will make them pay this week.

Manchester City Form

Manchester City have looked good at the start of the new season, although they have not been perfect after dropping points in matches against Arsenal and Newcastle.

While both games came against quality opposition, City would likely have fancied themselves to win both matches. Despite these two draws, City are a single point short of Liverpool at the summit, while they are the top scorers in the league with 17 goals.

Erling Haaland has scored 10 times this season already, and both he and City will fancy themselves against a host that looks very fragile at the back.
