Holstein Kiel knew the Bundesliga season would likely be a massive test for them, but the size of the task at hand has been laid out following two defeats in their opening two matches.

Their 3-2 loss against Hoffenheim on the road was an entertaining defeat, but it was followed by a stuttering 2-0 loss to Wolfsburg at home, with the latter giving them nothing going forward. They have now conceded five goals across two games.

While Holstein Kiel beat Bayern when they last met, it would take a very brave bettor to back them to make it two consecutive wins. Indeed, I am backing a heavy defeat for the home team.

Bayern Munich have been looking to make up for their woeful 2023/24 season by starting the new campaign with two excellent wins.

Their 3-2 triumph against Wolfsburg saw them come back from 2-1 down to secure all three points before they eased past Freiburg. After drawing a blank against Wolfsburg, Harry Kane scored the winning foal against Freiburg as he scored from the spot in the first-half.

With Bayern looking to move to the top of the table with a big win, I am backing Harry Kane to deliver with a goal as the former-champions return from the break with a strong performance.
