Inter Milan secured their first win of the new season with a battling 2-0 triumph against Lecce last week.

Inter Milan began their season in less-than-perfect circumstances as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Genoa. While they did avoid defeat, they would have targeted their opponents as a side they should beat.

Despite this draw, Inter managed to get their campaign up and running with a win against Lecce in game two as they downed their opponents 2-0. While this was another game they were expected to win, their opponents did not make things easy for the reigning Serie A champions.

While Atalanta have been a side that can spring a surprise in a big game, Inter have been far too good for their opponents of late, and I am backing the home team to secure a second consecutive win in the league.

Atalanta Form

Atalanta were brilliant in their opening match of the season as they took Lecce to the cleaners in a 4-0 win.

However, they allowed Torino to come back from a goal down to secure a 2-1 win in their second match. Torino struck the winning goal in the 49th minute, with Atalanta unable to fashion a chance they could take in the final 40 minutes of the game.

Atalanta were excellent in front of goal in game one and I am backing them to get a goal this week, but I predict that they will slip to a second successive away loss this week.
