Inter Milan vs Fiorentina Preview & Tips

Inter Milan were left floored by Napoli in their match at the weekend as they slipped to a 3-1 loss at the hands of their opponents.

Fiorentina took a point from Bologna in their last outing as they put an end to a two-game losing run in Serie A.

Head To Head

Inter have won seven of their last 10 against their opponents, with the latter winning twice and one game ending as a draw.

Inter Milan Form

Inter Milan were not good enough in their weekend match against Napoli as their 3-1 defeat saw them slip three points short of their vanquishers in the standings.

This was only their third defeat of the season, while it put an end to a solid four-game winning run in the league. While Inter have been excellent going forward, scoring a league-high 19 goals, they have conceded frequently, with the 11 goals they have shipped as many as bottom side Genoa.

I back a response from Inter in this one as they make it four wins in five home games. However, I do not back the home side to keep a clean sheet as they concede for the third consecutive match at home in Serie A.

Fiorentina Form

Fiorentina have been enduring a torrid start to the season, with the side winless from their opening eight and currently sitting in 18th in the standings.

Fiorentina have been awful defensively, keeping a single clean sheet across their last six matches. While they were better in their 2-2 draw with Bologna, this still saw them concede twice despite breaching their opponents twice. Ultimately, neither attack nor defence has been able to sync up in a way that has afforded them a single win.

In their ninth match of the season, I expect they will struggle once again. Inter Milan have won four of their last five against Fiorentina, and I back them to extend a good run against their opponents.
