Inter Milan vs Liverpool Preview & Tips
Inter Milan are looking to bounce back from a frustrating 2-1 loss to Atletico Madrid in their last European outing.
Liverpool were stunned by PSV in their last European game as they were humbled in a 4-1 loss at Anfield.

The pair have met a total of four times with Inter winning once and Liverpool winning the other three games.
Inter Milan Form
Inter Milan were handed their first European loss of the new season in their last match as they were beaten 2-1 by Atletico Madrid in Spain.
A late goal for the home side saw Inter drop all three points in a game they seemed on course to take a point from. Despite this frustrating loss, the previously perfect Bayern Munich were also beaten in their last match as they lost to Arsenal. This means that Inter’s defeat in game five was hardly terminal, with the Italian side sitting in fourth with 12 points.
This week, Inter will know that they can really energise their hopes of notching a top spot in the group. With an out-of-sorts Liverpool their next opponents, Inter will be confident. While I do not expect Inter to keep a clean sheet against an opponent with a lot of attacking weapons, I do back them to secure a fifth win in six European matches this season.
Liverpool Form
Liverpool have not been good enough this season, with their performances across both the Champions League and Premier League seeing the Reds labour across the pitch.
Their last European game ended in a humbling 4-1 loss to a PSV side that had won one of their previous four Champions League matches. This defeat, coupled with their loss to Galatasaray in round two, means the Reds are in need of a win to keep their hopes of notching a top spot in the group alive.
However, with three defeats coming across their last six in all competitions, the Reds have been entirely beatable. The former European champions have looked aimless across the pitch, with their weak defence and an attack that has struggled to create consistently costing them wins and points.
Against a host that has conceded just three times in five European games, I back the Reds to struggle to outscore their opponents. Liverpool have scored in all bar one of their opening five European matches, and I back them to score once again, but I do not see them winning this one.
Verdict
I predict that Inter Milan will secure a priceless win against Liverpool as they take all three points from their opponents despite failing to keep a clean sheet.
