Manchester United vs Manchester City Preview & Tips
Manchester United need to find a way to snap a four-game winless run that was extended by a stunning 2-1 home loss to Brighton in the FA Cup last weekend.
Manchester City eased past Newcastle in midweek, with their 2-0 EFL Cup semi-final first-leg win seeing Pep Guardiola's side impress.
- Antoine Semenyo has scored in his first two appearances for City
- Manchester City are unbeaten in their last 13 in all competitions (W10, D3)
Head To Head
City have won six of their last 10 against United, with the latter winning three times and one game ending as draws.
Manchester United Form
Manchester United have been awful of late, with the side winning just one of their last seven in all competitions, losing twice and drawing four times.
Draws with struggling Wolves and Burnley were particular low points for United. They were also knocked out of the last competition they could have won at the weekend, with Brighton eliminating them from the FA Cup as they left Old Trafford with a 2-1 win.
While they arrive for their clash with City having only lost two of their 10 home games, they have only won one of their last five on their own patch. City arrive as a far superior team, and they will fancy themselves to add to United's woes in front of their own fans.
Manchester City Form
Manchester City notched an impressive 2-0 win over Newcastle in their EFL Cup match in midweek as they made it two consecutive wins in all competitions whilst extending their unbeaten run to 13 games in all tournaments.
Unlike Manchester United, City are still on for the quadruple this season, and they can further enhance their hopes of catching Arsenal at the summit of the Premier League by downing United. If current form is anything to go on, City should storm to victory in this one.
Antoine Semenyo has made a brilliant start to life at Manchester City after scoring against both Exeter and Newcastle. I back him to give United all kinds of issues on the flank as he nets a third goal in three games for City.
