The two sides have met a total of five times, with Inter winning three meetings, Monza winning once and one game ending as a draw.

Monza have managed to stay unbeaten in two of their opening three matches this season, but they are still searching for their first victory.

A pair of draws against Empoli and Fiorentina have been impressive results considering they were both on the road. However, when they have had the benefit of playing at home, they have failed to take any points, with their home game against Genoa ending in a 1-0 loss.

Monza failed to get close to Inter last season, losing 2-0 on the road before taking a 5-1 mauling at home. I expect more of the same this weekend for a side that will have to wait at least another week for their first league win of the season.

Inter Milan Form

Inter Milan were held to a frustrating 2-2 draw by Genoa in their opening match of the season as a 95th minute equaliser saw the reigning champions drop two points.

However, instead of stewing on this draw, Inter immediately got back to winning ways, beating Lecce 2-0 before then easing to the points in a 4-0 triumph over Atalanta. Their results have been enough to elevate Inter to the top of the table.

With Juventus also looking strong and sitting level on points with Inter, the reigning champions know that a clash with winless Monza must end in victory, and I am backing them to secure the points alongside a third consecutive clean sheet this weekend.
