Newcastle are aiming to secure another statement win at St James’ Park after they notched a huge victory over Manchester City last time out.
Tottenham arrive with one of the best away records in the league, but their 4-1 loss to Arsenal in their last match on the road was a sobering result for the side.

Newcastle have won seven of their last 10 against Spurs, with the latter winning twice and one game ending as a draw.

Newcastle have been strong at home this season, and they will target notching their fourth consecutive win at St James’ Park in the league.
Wins over Manchester City, Fulham, Nottingham Forest and Wolves has seen the Magpies win four of their last five at home, with only Arsenal denying Newcastle a win in this time. With Newcastle looking to snare a Champions League spot for next season, their home form will be vital in ensuring they are near to the top spots come May.
While Spurs arrive in good form on the road in the league this season, they have hit a speedbump of late. Three defeats in their last three away games in all competitions has seen Tottenham lose to Newcastle in the cup, Arsenal in the league and PSG in the Champions League.
While I back Spurs to breach this Newcastle defence, I predict that the Magpies will outscore their opponents in another home win.
Tottenham Form
Tottenham have not been good enough of late, with their season threatening to unravel after a run of frustrating results.
Their last three away games have all ended in defeat, with each loss a damning one. Their cup defeat to Newcastle saw them eliminated from the EFL Cup, while their 4-1 loss to Arsenal in the league put the difference between themselves and the leaders on full show. Finally, their 5-3 loss to PSG in the Champions League underlined that Spurs are not ready to seriously contend with the best in Europe.
Heading into this one, Tottenham may have only lost one of their six on the road in the league, but the manner of their defeat to Arsenal will worry Spurs. With their two convincing defeats in their last two on the road coupled with a 2-1 home loss to Fulham at the weekend, I predict that Spurs will slip to another defeat in this one.

I am backing both sides to score as Newcastle heap the pressure on Tottenham in the league.
