Nottingham Forest enjoyed the perfect European night last week as they stormed to a 3-0 win over Fenerbahce to give themselves a commanding lead heading into the second-leg.

Fenerbahce need to find a way back into their clash with Forest after they were completely outplayed by the English side.

Nottingham Forest put their Premier League woes behind them last week as they romped to an impressive 3-0 win over Fenerbahce in a game that many thought could go either way.

Instead of the tight match many had foreseen, Forest completely outplayed their opponents in attack and defence as they put on a clinic of how the travelling side should play a first-leg.

Now, with the next round of the Europa League within touching distance, Forest will want to arrive on the back of a third consecutive European win, and I back them to keep a clean sheet as they continue their good form in the competition.

Fenerbahce Form

Fenerbahce were embarrassed by Nottingham Forest last week as their hopes of securing a European trophy this season were all but dashed inside 90 minutes.

Despite Forest’s woes in the league, Fenerbahce were unable to make the most out of any weaknesses in the travelling side. In fact, they were the ones that were cut open time and time again as they slipped to a damaging defeat.

While they now have nothing to lose as they look to do the improbable, I predict that the travelling side will have to stomach an embarrassing pair of defeats to Forest without scoring.
