Real Madrid vs Barcelona Preview & Tips
Real Madrid were not at their best in their last league game as they ground out a 1-0 win over Getafe.
Barcelona beat Girona 2-1 in their last La Liga outing as they kept pace with Real Madrid in the competition.

Barcelona have won seven of their last 10 against Real, with the latter winning the other three meetings.
Real Madrid Form
Despite sitting at the top of the La Liga standings, Real Madrid have been far from perfect of late.
Their 1-0 win over Getafe saw Kylian Mbappe score the winner in the 80th minute, while they were teetering as Villarreal scored a goal in the 73rd minute to make it 2-1 in their contest. While Real did eventually win that game 3-1, they were hardly seamless.
More worrying was their match before their win over Villarreal as they were completely outplayed by Atletico Madrid. Their 5-2 loss to their arch-rivals was as embarrassing as it gets, and it put their often brittle defence on full show.
Barcelona arrive with 24 goals scored in nine league matches, and I back this one to see goals. Real’s woeful record against Barcelona is also a major worry, with a 5-2 defeat at the hands of their opponents in their last meeting one they will want to get revenge for.
Barcelona Form
Barcelona have found a way to win games of late, with a pair of 2-1 wins sandwiching a surprise 4-1 loss to Sevilla in the league.
While their win over Girona was tight, Barca managed to shift up the gears in midweek as they hammered Olympiacos 6-1 in a stunning display. This means they arrive for their clash with Real with goals behind them.
Despite losing once and drawing once in the league this season, Barca can actually move to the summit with a win, which is exactly what I predict they will do. Barcelona have a superb record against Real of late, and I back them to add to their excellent run.
Verdict
While I back Kylian Mbappe to continue his superb run of scoring against Barcelona, I do not back him to end on the winning side as Barca strike a major blow in the title race.
