Real Madrid have been excellent of late, with the side keeping pace with Barcelona at the summit after winning their last seven games in La Liga.

Real Sociedad beat Elche 3-1 in their last outing as they kept hold of eighth place in Spain’s premier footballing league.

Real Madrid have won seven of their last 10 against Real Sociedad, with the latter winning twice and one game ending as a draw.

Real Madrid currently sit a single point behind league leaders Barcelona, with the pair almost inseparable at the top of the competition.

Seven consecutive wins in La Liga means Real are the form side in the league, while they have the third best home record in the competition after winning 10 of their 11 matches.

With Barcelona just ahead of them, Real know that this could be the weekend that they return to the summit if Barca drop points. Their man for the big occasion in Kylian Mbappe continues to score goals, firing home nine goals across his last six, and I back him to open the scoring as Real Madrid storm to three points.

Real Sociedad have been excellent of late, going unbeaten across their last seven matches with this including four wins.

Their run has enabled Sociedad to move up to eighth with 31 points, meaning they are seven behind Real Betis in fifth. Victory in this match would not only make a major statement against one of the best in the league, it may also see them edge closer to the European places.

While Sociedad have been impressive of late, travelling to take on Real Madrid is an incredibly tough assignment. The away side will likely have their moments in the match, but I am backing against them coming away with anything as Real Madrid take the points.
