South Korea vs Bolivia Preview & Tips

South Korea are looking to build towards the 2026 FIFA World Cup by piecing together a strong run that might see them ruffle some feathers at the showpiece event.

Bolivia were soundly beaten by Russia in their last outing as their two-game winning run was brought to a grinding halt in a 3-0 loss.

  • South Korea have never lost to Bolivia (W1, D2)
  • South Korea are to concede a goal against Bolivia

Head To Head

The pair have met a total of three times, with two matches ending as draws and South Korea beating Bolivia 1-0 back in 2019.

South Korea Form

With qualification for the 2026 World Cup already secured, South Korea are turning their attention to ensuring they arrive for the tournament on a good run of form as their four-year cycle kicks up a gear.

A win over Paraguay in their last match was a decent result, but it followed on from a resounding 5-0 defeat at the hands of Brazil mere days before. This loss was an illustration of how much better South Korea will need to be if they want to get anywhere near winning the coveted trophy.

On a more positive note, South Korea had beaten the USA 2-0 and drawn 2-2 with Mexico, with both nations making up two of the three co-hosts for the tournament. South Korea clearly have the tools to beat the weaker sides at the tournament.

In this one, I expect South Korea to notch their second consecutive win over Bolivia as they make it two successive wins in all competitions. I do not expect Bolivia to score, with the side failing to score an away goal in their last three attempts.

Bolivia Form

Bolivia arrive for their latest international friendly looking to find some consistency after winning and losing three of their last six outings.

On the road, Bolivia have been awful. Six consecutive defeats dating all the way back to a 6-0 loss to Argentina back in October of 2024 shows the nation have a real issue on the road, with scoring and keeping the ball out of their own net a real concern.

More concerning still will be that Bolivia have failed to score a goal in their three previous matches against South Korea, with beating their opponents also escaping them. With this in mind, I foresee nothing other than another Bolivian defeat on the road.

Verdict

I am backing South Korea to come away with the bragging rights as they beat Bolivia to nil for the second successive match.
