South Korea vs Brazil Preview & Tips

South Korea secured a 2-2 draw with Mexico in their last outing in September as they continued to build towards the World Cup in 2026.

Brazil's recent form has been patchy, with their 1-0 loss to Bolivia back in September a further showing that they are far from unbeatable.

  • South Africa have scored two goals in their last two matches
  • The last three meetings between the sides have seen three goals or more scored
  • Brazil have won their last five meetings with South Korea

Head To Head

The pair have met six times in total, with South Korea winning once and Brazil winning five times.

South Korea Form

South Korea are looking to build up ahead of steam as the 2026 World Cup edges ever closer.

A solid run over July and September saw South Korea beat Hong Kong and the USA, while they held Mexico in a 2-2 draw. While they did lose 1-0 to Japan, this came against an opponent that has been in very good form of late.

With the chance to go after a Brazilian outfit that have been far from perfect recently, I back South Korea to have their moments. I predict they will score against Brazil, something they have done in their last two meetings with their opponents.

However, I do not back them to win this one. They have struggled to beat Brazil, with their last five matches against their opponents all ending in defeat. While I do predict they will ensure Brazil do not come away with a clean sheet, I back against them winning this one.

Brazil Form

Brazil have struggled for consistency of late, with their last five matches ending in two wins, two defeats and a draw.

Their 4-1 loss to Argentina back in March will have been the defeat that hurt them most, while their 1-0 loss to Bolivia in their last match helped to bookend a poor run. Between the two defeats, Brazil have beaten both Paraguay and Chile, while they were held in a 0-0 draw by Ecuador.

Things are not currently perfect for Brazil, but they still have the quality to explode into life at any moment. I back the Brazilians to get a much needed win to boost their confidence as we see goals in this one.

Verdict

I am backing Brazil to get the win despite failing to keep a clean sheet for the third consecutive time against South Korea.
