Spain arrive for their third World Cup qualifier on the back of a stunning 6-0 away win over Turkey.

Georgia notched an very impressive 3-0 win over Bulgaria in their last match as they bounced back from a 3-2 home defeat to Turkey.

The pair have met eight times, with Spain winning seven matches and Georgia winning one friendly back in 2016.

Spain are looking to move further clear at the top of Group E with a third consecutive win.

Victories over Bulgaria (3-0) and Turkey (6-0) shows that Spain have been both free with their goals and solid at the back in a very impressive run. While neither Bulgaria nor Turkey are on the same level as Spain, it was still very telling that the Spanish have romped to two easy wins to nil.

Across their last eight meetings with Georgia, Spain have won seven times. Their sole defeat in this time came as they lost 1-0 to their opponents in a friendly back in 2016. I do not expect any kind of complacency in this one as Spain notch a third consecutive win to nil in qualifying.

Many would have worried for Georgia in their qualifying campaign after their 3-2 loss to Turkey in game one saw their hopes of starting with a win dashed.

However, they were excellent against Bulgaria in game two as they stormed to a 3-0 win. This is where the positives end, though. The only home game Georgia have left will come against Spain, meaning they now have to play each of the other sides in their group away from home.

Home comforts were likely the only way Georgia could compete for a top-spot in the group. With three away games to come along with one home match against Spain, I back a tough run to start with a defeat in this one.
