Tottenham vs Manchester City Preview & Tips

Tottenham have been awful in the league in 2026, failing to win any of their last five outings.

Manchester City returned to winning ways in the league last time out as they beat Wolves 2-0.

City have won four of their last 10 against Tottenham, with Spurs winning five times and one game ending as a draw.

Tottenham arrive for their latest Premier League game on the back of an impressive 2-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt in Germany that saw the London side book their place in the top eight in Europe.

However, their excellent form in Europe has done little for them in the league, with the side currently languishing in 14th with just 28 points. With West Ham in 18th sitting on 20 points, Tottenham are not out of the relegation equation yet.

While Spurs have not been too bad against City in recent meetings, their terrible home run, which has seen them win just two of their opening 11, means it is incredibly tough to back them. Instead, I predict more pain for Tottenham in this one as they slip to another damaging defeat at home.

Manchester City Form

Manchester City have found form over the last week, with the side securing a pair of 2-0 wins over Wolves in the Premier League and Galatasaray in the Champions League.

Their win over Wolves means they are now just four points behind an Arsenal side that have failed to win any of their last three in the league. In Europe, City snuck into the top eight, meaning they will avoid an awkward playoff.

Now, attention turns back to the league. Arsenal face a tricky clash with Leeds, meaning more points could be dropped. It is integral that City keep their winning run up if they are to catch the Gunners, while they will want to move further clear of teams like Liverpool, who face Newcastle at the weekend.

Erling Haaland got back to scoring goals in midweek, and I back him to give Tottenham some real issues at the back as he leads his side to all three points.
