Tottenham secured a 3-1 win over Brentford in the league at the weekend as they made it two wins on the bounce in all competitions.

Qarabag eased to a 4-0 win over Neftci Baku as they made it three consecutive victories in the league.

The pair have met twice before, with Tottenham winning both games when they met in the Europa League back in 2015.

Tottenham have been questionable this season, with the London side not at their best despite winning three times this term.

Wins over Everton and Brentford in the league have come alongside a 2-1 win over Coventry in the cup. Alongside their wins, they have been held by newly-promoted Leicester, while they lost to both Newcastle and Arsenal.

While both of their defeats have come against good sides, Spurs will have been disappointed to have failed both of their early tests against other top sides. While Qarabag are hardly the same level of opponent as the Magpies or Gunners, Tottenham will not want to take them lightly as they look to begin their European campaign with a win.

Qarabag arrive for their first match in the Europa League this season with an impressive run of wins behind them.

Three victories in a row means they arrive full of confidence, but they take on an opponent that have lost to in both of their meetings. Interestingly, the pair last met almost a decade ago at the same stage of the Europa League, with Spurs running out 3-1 winners at home.

While Qarabag will have their moments in the game, I am backing against them leaving London with any points as they slip to a third consecutive defeat against Spurs.
