Utrecht are still searching for their first win in Europe this season after slipping to four defeats and a draw in their opening five.

Nottingham Forest eased to a 3-0 win over Malmo in their last Europa League outing as they extended their unbeaten run in the competition to three matches.

This will be the first time the two football clubs have met in a competitive match.

Utrecht were consigned to a fourth defeat in five European matches last time out as they were beaten 2-1 by Real Betis.

While Utrecht showed a lot of heart in their 2-1 defeat to Betis in Spain, it saw them fail to build on a 1-1 draw with Porto in their game before. Prior to this, they had lost their opening three without scoring in defeats to Lyon, Brann and Freiburg.

While their only point of the competition so far has come on their own patch, it is tough to see Utrecht ending Nottingham Forest's unbeaten run in Europe, especially with Sean Dyche looking to ensure his side bounce back from their 3-0 loss to Everton in the league. I predict that the home side will be the unlucky recipients of Forest bouncing back.

Nottingham Forest Form

Nottingham Forest were able to notch a second consecutive win at home in the Europa League against Malmo in their last game, with this ensuring they moved into 16th in the competition with eight points.

With Forest just four points short of Lyon at the summit, a win in their sixth game would only enhance their hopes of moving into eighth in the competition. Porto currently occupy eighth with 10 points, meaning they are only two points behind the Portuguese side.

Forest have frustrated on the road so far, drawing both of their opening two away from home. While they are yet to win, importantly, they are yet to lose away from home. With Dyche's side outplayed by Everton at the weekend, I predict that they will put defensive solidity over all else as they sneak a win on the road in a much-improved performance.
