Aryna Sabalenka has impressed in Wuhan in 2024, dropping just two sets across her four outings at the competition.

She saved her best performance for her clash with Coco Gauff in the semi-finals as she came back from losing the first set 6-1 as she won the second and third sets 6-4 6-4. While she was not perfect against Gauff, she put her will to win on full show when it mattered most.

With a 3-0 winning record against Zheng on the line, I am backing Sabalenka to once again show her class as she makes it four consecutive wins without dropping a set against Zheng.

Qinwen Zheng Form

Qinwen Zheng arrives for the final in Wuhan following a straight-sets win over Xinyu Wang in the last round.

This was only her second 2-0 win in Wuhan this year, with her victories over Leylah Annie Fernandez and Jasmine Paolini coming despite losing a set.

While Zheng has impressed of late, winning eight of her last nine, she has failed to secure a win against Sabalenka, and I believe her wait for a win against her opponent will only be extended.
