This will be the first meeting between the pair on the court.

Novak Djokovic is yet to drop a set in Shanghai after easing to three successive 2-0 wins on his way to the quarter-finals.

His 7-6 7-6 win over Alex Michelsen in the second round remains his toughest outing at the competition, with easy wins over Flavio Cobolli and Roman Safiullin seeing him drop just eight games across the two matches.

Looking to extend a run of four consecutive wins in all competitions, Djokovic is hot-favourite to win again, and to win easily.

Jakub Mensik Form

Jakub Mensik was in excellent form in his last outing as he secured a 2-1 win over Grigor Dimitrov in a 6-3 3-6 6-4 triumph.

While Mensik has impressed, he has had his work cut out across his four matches at the ATP Shanghai, winning 2-1 each time. While he has come out on the right side of the result in each match, he is yet to play anyone in Djokovic's bracket.

While Mensik will have aspirations of securing a massive shock, I am backing against him getting anywhere near Djokovic in this one.
