Iga Swiatek has been excellent at the US Open, with the 23-year-old desperate to end 2024 by securing the final Grand Slam crown of the year.

After three matches, Swiatek has spent just short of four and a half hours on the court, while she is yet to drop a set. Her 6-4 7-6 win over Kamilla Rakhimova in the first round was the closest she has come to dropping a set, while her wins in the second and third rounds have been far more comfortable.

With three wins in her three matches against her opponent, I am backing Swiatek to ease to another 2-0 win at the US Open.

Liudmila Samsonova Form

Liudmila Samsonova has really impressed at the 2024 US Open, with two wins in straight-sets coming alongside a battling 2-1 win over Marie Bouzkova in the second round.

However, her record of three wins in three matches at the US Open masks a poor year in which she has won 26 of her 45 matches this term.

While Samsonova has been in fine form at the final Slam of the year, it is tough to see her getting close to an opponent who has a 100% winning record against her.
