England vs Australia Tips
England are looking to switch Test cricket for the shorter format of the game this week as they face Australia following their 2-1 series win over Sri Lanka in the longest format of the game.

Australia hammered Scotland 3-0 in their recent T20 series as they flexed their muscles in limited overs cricket.

Head To Head
In all formats of the game, Australia have won seven of their last 10 against England, with the latter winning twice and one match ending as a draw.
England Form
England ended their Test summer with five wins in six matches following a 3-0 series win over the West Indies and a 2-1 win over Sri Lanka. While they did secure wins in both series, they will have been frustrated to have missed out on beating Sri Lanka 3-0 following a poor performance in the third Test.
England's last T20 outing saw them hammered by India in the semi-finals of the World Cup. Despite restricting their opponents to 171/7, they were skittled for 103 as they were beaten by 68 runs to end their hopes of securing the trophy.
On their return to the T20 stage, England have made a series of changes, with some forced and some unforced. The major change sees Phil Salt captain the side and take the gloves following an injury to Jos Buttler. Salt is currently 115 runs from going past 1000 runs in T20 internationals, and with a fairly inexperienced team around him, I am backing him to lead with the bat for his side.
Australia Form
Australia destroyed Scotland across their three T20's as they won by seven wickets, 70 runs and six wickets.
While the disparity between Australia and Scotland was obvious before their series, it was even bigger than some had given it credit for. Ultimately, Australia were rarely tested against a side that got nowhere near beating them.
Impressively, Australia stopped Scotland from scoring more than 154 runs in any of their three outings, while they scored 196 runs when put in to bat first in the second T20. While there have been some changes in this Aussies side, they still look strong, and I am backing them to start the T20 series off with a win.
Verdict
I am backing Australia to go 1-0 up in the T20 series despite Phil Salt finding form with the bat.
