PSG vs Bayern Munich

PSG proved too good for Liverpool across two legs in the last round as they defeated their opponents 4-0 on aggregate. Both 2-0 wins failed to reflect how the games actually played out. In the first-leg, PSG should have won by more as they wasted a number of chances in a dominant display. In the second-leg, Liverpool dominated large portions of the game but failed to score as the French side snatched two goals. PSG boast four consecutive wins heading into this one but have been poor against Bayern in their last six, losing five times. With the defence of their Champions League title set to face its biggest test, can PSG pull through against the Germans?

Bayern Munich continue to showcase their stunning football, with the Germans now just three games away from Champions League glory. Their 6-4 aggregate win over Real Madrid in the last round was fully deserved as they dominated the first-leg before edging to a pulsating win in the second-leg.
Bayern have secured 11 wins across their 12 European matches this season, only losing to an unbeaten Arsenal side. Harry Kane remains key to their hopes of securing the trophy after scoring 12 times this season, and I back him to hit the back of the net against PSG in midweek.

Atletico Madrid vs Arsenal

Atletico Madrid rode their luck against Barcelona in the last round as their 2-0 win in the first-leg proved the difference between the two sides. Despite failing to ever really go on a consistent run of wins, Atletico are now just two big performances away from a major European final. Having already accounted for Club Brugge, Tottenham and Barcelona, Atletico will be confident that they can ensure they are still in the tie ahead of their trip to London next week.

Arsenal needed to be at their very best defensively in their last outing against Sporting as they secured a 0-0 draw at the Emirates Stadium. Prior to their draw, the Gunners had beaten Sporting 1-0 in Portugal, with this victory proving the difference. In the Round of 16, Arsenal were held by Bayer Leverkusen in a 1-1 draw in Germany before notching a 2-0 win in London. While the Gunners have not been winning big of late, they have come out on the right side of the scoreline after two legs.
With Atletico likely to push Arsenal incredibly hard in the first-leg in Spain, I am backing this one to end in a draw. This will be a far cry from the 4-0 win over Atleti that Arsenal enjoyed back in October.

Verdict

I am backing Harry Kane to continue to score on the biggest occasion as Atletico and Arsenal draw in their first-leg.
