England vs Finland Tips

England eased to a 2-0 triumph over Ireland in their last match as they began their UEFA Nations League campaign with a win.

Finland were hammered 3-0 by Greece in their last match as they slipped to a convincing defeat on the road.

The sides have played six times in total, with England winning twice and the other two matches ending in draws.

England Form

England began the post-Gareth Southgate era with a 2-0 win over Ireland as goals from Declan Rice and Jack Grealish proved to be more than enough against their opponents.

This win helped to ease England back into footballing action following their heartbreaking 2-1 loss to Spain in the final of Euro 2024, with the English unable to avenge their loss to Italy in the final of the previous iteration of the competition.

Now, the focus will be on trying to claw their way back into League A of the Nations League after slipping down to League B. With this in mind, I am backing a comfortable win for England in this one.

Finland Form

Finland found no mercy at the hands of Greece in their opening Nations League match as they saw their opponents score from three of their five shots on target to secure a well deserved 3-0 win.

This was the worst way to start their campaign, and if the opening matches are anything to go by, it will be Finland and Ireland battling to avoid the drop into League C.

While Finland will arrive and look to be tough to beat, I believe they will slip to another defeat as they end the international break with two successive defeats.
