Arsenal can move above City with a win after going unbeaten in their opening four matches of the season.

City have won seven of their last 10 against Arsenal with the Gunners winning twice and one game ending as a draw. Interestingly, City have not won any of their last three against the Gunners.

Manchester City Form

Manchester City have been excellent at the start of the new league season, winning their opening four and moving two points clear at the summit.

A win this week would deal a blow to the aspirations of Arsenal in second, although it is far too early in the year to claim defeat would be terminal. At the Etihad, City have been strong, scoring six goals and conceding twice. While they are yet to keep a clean sheet at home, they have been outscoring the opposition regularly.

However, they were held to a 0-0 draw by Inter Milan in the Champions League in midweek as they drew a blank. While the Italian champions set up to be very tough to beat, City struggled to create chances, while anything they did create was wasted.

While I do back City to get goals in this one as Erling Haaland gets back to scoring, I predict that they will be held for the second match in a row.

Arsenal Form

Arsenal were brilliant in midweek as they took a point from Europa League champions Atalanta in a 0-0 draw in Italy.

This draw has made it two stalemates in their last three in all competitions. Meanwhile, their win over Tottenham last week came by a single goal as the Gunners impressed with their resolve at the back.

Against City, Arsenal will have to really fight for the ball. This may mean their chances will be created via breaks against City rather than through consistent probing with the ball. This could see the match open up in parts, and it would really put the cat amongst the pigeons if the Gunners can get the first goal.

I am backing the two top sides in England to share the points as both fail to keep a clean sheet. Meanwhile, I believe that Erling Haaland will get back to scoring goals as he finds the net against the Gunners.
