Inter Milan were left frustrated in their opening match of the season as they were held in a 2-2 draw with Genoa.

Inter have won seven of their last 10 against Lecce, with their opponents winning once and two games ending as a draw.

Inter Milan's defence of their Serie A title began in frustrating fashion as they could only take a point from Genoa on the road.

The reigning champions were guilty of allowing their opponents to score a 95th minute equaliser as the points were shared. While Genoa had their fair share of chances, Inter would have won this type of game last season, and this draw shows they cannot be complacent in matches like this.

While drawing their opening match was far from ideal, Inter have the perfect opponent to try to bounce back against as they host statistically the worst side in the league after round one.

Lecce Form

Lecce were humbled in their opening match of the season as they fell apart around half-time against Atalanta.

The away side scored two goals inside the 10 minutes before the interval and two goals across the 21 minutes following the break to kill off any hopes the home team had of securing points in their opener. This came despite Lecce taking 21 shots in the match, with the home side incredibly wasteful.

While the away side can arrive with little expectation on their shoulders for this one, I still do not believe that they will find a way to stun the reigning champions on their own patch.
