- Mbappe scored twice in his last outing for Madrid
Head To Head
Real Madrid have won five of their last 10 against Sociedad, with the latter winning twice and three games ending as draws.
Real Sociedad Form
Real Sociedad have been enduring a tough start to the new season, winning just one of their opening four matches and slipping down to 12th.
While the new season is still young, defeats at the hands of Rayo Vallecano and Alaves at home has ensured their fans have had little to cheer. With just four points from their opening four matches, Sociedad are already eight short of Barcelona at the top, while they are only two clear of Las Palmas and the relegation zone.
Relegation will not really factor into their thoughts right now, but Sociedad know that an extended poor run at the start of the season will see their place in Spain's top league called into question. Sociedad need to start winning games, but it is tough to see them starting with victory here,
Real Madrid Form
Real Madrid have also been frustrated at the start of the new season, winning two of their opening four and drawing the other two.
While they are yet to lose a game, draws with Mallorca and Las Palmas on the road have been hugely disappointing, and it means they are already four short of Barcelona at the summit. A first defeat of the season this weekend could leave Madrid seven short of Barcelona after just five games if the latter wins their match.
While Kylian Mbappe had to endure a tough start to the season in front of goal, his two goals against Betis in his last outing means I am backing him to start scoring regularly, as he does exactly what Madrid brought him in to do.
