Tottenham will hope that their second-half rally against Bournemouth at the weekend is a mark of better things to come after they came from 2-0 down to secure a point in a 2-2 draw.

Positively for Spurs, they are yet to lose a home game in the Europa League this season. Indeed, wins over Qarabag, AZ Alkmaar and Elfsborg have come alongside a battling 2-2 draw with Roma.

Heung-Min Son has had a quiet season by his high standards, but he scored the crucial penalty in his last outing to make it 2-2 against the Cherries. I am backing him to secure another goal as he leads his beleaguered Spurs side to a vital win.

AZ Alkmaar Form

AZ Alkmaar gave themselves a great chance to move into the quarter-finals of the Europa League as they notched an impressive 1-0 win over Tottenham last week.

Victory helped them to bounce back from their 1-0 loss to Tottenham back in October, while it also allowed them to get back to winning ways after drawing 2-2 with Galatasaray in the playoffs. Now, the travelling side knows that anything other than a defeat plays into their hands. A draw or win will see them go through, while a defeat by a single goal will send the tie into extra-time.

While the travelling side have the advantage, this will be a real test of what they are made of. Spurs have to bounce back, with a number of stars playing poorly and costing their side points and wins. I am backing the home side to rekindle that winning feeling at the expense of an opponent they have already beaten this season.
