The Champions League is already into the quarter-final stage of the competition, with the best sides in Europe edging closer to the biggest event in club football. 

Real Madrid won the trophy in the 2023/24 season but they have drifted out to 21.00 to defend their crown after their stunning 3-0 loss to Arsenal at the Emirates.

Real Madrid secured yet another Champions League crown in 2024 as they beat Borussia Dortmund 2-0 at Wembley. However, following their incredible 3-0 loss to Arsenal (4.33) at the Emirates, Real have drifted out to 21.00. 

Barcelona (3.00) humiliated Borussia Dortmund (501) in a 4-0 win in Spain in their first-leg. This has seen the Spanish side solidify their grip on the top spot in the betting. 

PSG have also shortened to 3.25 as they eventually beat Aston Villa (101) 3-1 in France. This came despite Villa going 1-0 up and putting in an impressive defensive performance. However, the class of PSG's attack eventually saw the cracks form as they notched a two-goal lead. 

Inter Milan have leapfrogged Bayern in the betting after beating the Germans 2-1 in their first-leg. Bayern now have the unenviable job of heading to Italy needing to win to stay in the competition. 

Aston Villa and Borussia Dortmund are the outsiders in the betting, with the latter likely all but out of the tournament. Villa return to Villa Park only two goals down, but they will likely have to score a number of goals as few will see them stopping PSG's rampant attack from scoring. 

The Champions League always throws up a number of shocking results and inspiring runs, with Borussia Dortmund's battle an example from last season. Arsenal have seen their odds continually shorten, but PSG will have caught the eye of most after their stunning performances. 

This season, there will be a range of teams looking to follow Dortmund's example, but getting to the final is one thing, while winning it is another. The likes of Barcelona and PSG will be incredibly tough to defeat at any point in the campaign, while they both take it up a notch in the grand final. 

The likes of Inter and Bayern will hope to fly slightly under the radar due to PSG, Barcelona and Arsenal being such big favourites. However, once a team makes it to the knockout stages, the eyes start to switch to them.
