Real Madrid vs AC Milan Tips

Real Madrid secured a much-needed 5-2 win over Borussia Dortmund in their last Champions League match to get back to winning ways in Europe.

AC Milan eased to a 3-1 win over Club Brugge in their last Champions League outing as they secured their first European points this term.

Real have won five of their last 10 against AC Milan, with the Italian side winning twice and the other three ending as draws.

Real Madrid Form

Following their 1-0 loss to Lille in their second Champions League match, Real were in desperate need of a big performance heading into game three.

They looked back to their best in the second-half of their clash against Borussia Dortmund as they ran out 5-2 winners, although this came on the back of a very poor first-half showing in which they were 2-0 down. While their resolve and skill was on full show in the second-half, they cannot afford to give good sides the lead in Europe.

AC Milan have been poor in Europe this season, losing two of their opening three. While Milan are rarely easy to beat, Real can make a statement in this match, and Kylian Mbappe will be keen to get back to scoring when the pair meet in midweek.

AC Milan Form

AC Milan currently sit in 25th in the Champions League, one place below the knockout stage berths.

While the Champions League season is still young, Milan would have been aiming for the top-eight spots rather than a playoff berth. However, with two defeats coming alongside a single win against Club Brugge, Milan have been disappointing.

While Milan will arrive in Spain sensing that a win in this one could turn their campaign around, it is tough to see an Italian side that have been poor in Europe coming away with anything from the reigning European champions.
