Barcelona vs Bayern Munich Tips

Barcelona secured their first win in the Champions League this season as they hammered Young Boys 5-0 at home in game two.

Bayern Munich slipped to a stunning 1-0 loss at the hands of Aston Villa in their last European game.

Head To Head

Bayern have won nine of their last 10 against their opponents including their last six matches. In this time, Barcelona have won once.

Barcelona Form

Barcelona needed a big performance in their last European outing after they slipped to a stunning 2-1 loss to Monaco in their opening match.

They got their first win via a crushing 5-0 win over Young Boys as the Spanish side got up and running in style. However, the quality of opponent rises massively heading into game three as they face a side they have lost 12 of their 17 matches against.

While the home side will fancy their chances of consigning Bayern to a second consecutive loss on the road in Europe, they have been awful against the Germans, and I am backing another tough night for them.

Bayern Munich Form

Bayer Munich looked in ominous form in game one of the Champions League as they humiliated Dinamo Zagreb 9-2 in a thrilling win.

However, they were toothless against Aston Villa in game two as they failed to score in a game they lost by a single goal. This defeat means Bayern are in need of a big performance as they look to get back to winning ways at the first time of asking.

Bayern have enjoyed recent meetings with Barca, while Harry Kane is fresh off the back of a hat-trick in the Bundesliga, and I am backing him to lead his side to a statement win.

Verdict

Barcelona v Bayern Munich

I am backing Harry Kane to get on the scoresheet for Bayern as the Bundesliga side come away with all three points.
