Juventus return to the Champions League circuit looking to start with a bang as they try to settle into a competition that has seen swathing changes for the new campaign.

Like Juventus, PSV will also want to get off to a winning start, although travelling to take on the former champions of Italy is never an easy task.

Juventus have looked very strong at the back this season, with the Italian side yet to concede a goal across their opening four.

Their last two matches has seen Juve stutter going forward, with the side without a goal in their last two following goalless draws with Roma and Empoli. While this may worry some heading into the first European game week, Juventus will be keen to show they can match their rock solid defence with an incisive attack this week.

The two are yet to meet in a competitive match, meaning there is nothing to go by with regard to recent outings. However, Juve have looked in good touch and will fancy their chances of defeating their travelling opponents.

PSV Form

Like Juventus, PSV have also enjoyed a good start to the season, winning their opening five matches and rising to the top of the Eredivisie.

The issue for PSV is that they are yet to take on an opponent of any real quality. Meanwhile, Juventus took on Atletico Madrid in a friendly and Roma in the league. While neither ended in victory, their loss to Atleti and draw with Roma will have taught Thiago Motta a lot about his side.

For PSV, this one looks like it will end in a first competitive defeat of the new season.
